At Starlit Lotus Studio, we take pride in offering handcrafted bath, body, and home fragrance products made in small batches. Each item is carefully created, inspected, and packaged before leaving our studio.
Because our products are handmade and personal care items, natural variations are expected and part of the artisan process.
Your satisfaction matters to us, and we are always happy to help if something goes wrong with your order. However, by placing an order with Starlit Lotus Studio, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Returns & Refunds Policy in addition to our Terms of Service and Shipping Policy.
🧼 Handmade Product Variation Disclaimer
All products are individually handcrafted. As a result, the following characteristics are normal and are not considered defects:
• Color or swirl pattern variations
• Minor differences in weight, shape, or size
• Small air bubbles or surface texture variations
• Cosmetic frosting or soda ash on soap
• Slight differences in scent strength
• Visible hand-cut edges or tool marks
• Wax frosting or natural texture variations in candles
• Minor wax surface imperfections from hand-pouring
These natural characteristics do not affect product safety, quality, or performance and are part of the handmade process.
❌ What Is Considered a Defect
A product defect is an issue that materially affects the product’s intended use upon arrival. Examples may include:
• Product arriving excessively wet, leaking oils, or melted beyond use
• Product crumbling or breaking apart upon first use
• A product that is unusable upon delivery
• An incorrect item was shipped
• Foreign material embedded within the product
• Packaging damage that renders the product unsafe to use
All potential defects are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
📸 Defect Reporting Process
If you believe you received a defective or incorrect item, you must contact us within 4 business days of delivery.

• Order number
• Clear photo of the product
• Clear photo of the packaging
• Photo of the shipping label
Failure to provide documentation or report the issue within the required timeframe may result in the denial of replacement or refund consideration.
✋ Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
Due to hygiene and safety considerations, all products sold by Starlit Lotus Studio are final sale.
This includes but is not limited to:
• Soap
• Lip balm
• Shaving soap
• Shaving kits and shaving brushes
• Bath salts and bath soak products
• Candles
• Other bath, body, or personal care items
For sanitation and product safety reasons, these items cannot be returned or resold once they leave our studio.
We do not accept returns or exchanges for:
• Opened or used products
• Products based on scent preference
• Personal reactions or sensitivities
• Buyer’s remorse
• Custom or limited edition items
• Clearance items
If an incorrect item was shipped, customers may contact us to request a review and resolution.
All refunds, replacements, or resolutions are issued at the sole discretion of Starlit Lotus Studio.
Unauthorized returns will not be refunded.
🕯 Candle Notice & Usage Disclaimer
Candles are handcrafted and may show natural variations including wax frosting, minor texture changes, or slight color variations from fragrance oils. These are normal characteristics of natural wax candles.
Candle performance may also be affected by improper use. Issues resulting from improper candle care are not considered defects, including:
• Failure to trim the wick before burning
• Burning the candle for excessive periods of time
• Tunneling caused by improper burn cycles
• Improper storage or environmental exposure
Candles may soften or melt during transit due to high temperatures or weather conditions. Customers may submit photos for review if this occurs.
🪒 Shaving Kit & Brush Notice
Shaving kits and grooming items are considered personal hygiene products and are non-returnable.
Shaving brushes may naturally shed a small number of hairs during the first few uses, which is normal for grooming brushes.
Brushes and shaving kits are not eligible for return or refund.
🛁 Bath Salt & Bath Soak Notice
Bath salt and bath soak products are intended for external use only.
These products:
• Must not be ingested
• Are not food or candy
• Should not be eaten under any circumstances
Bath products may contain oils or botanicals that could make surfaces slippery. Use caution when entering or exiting the bath.
Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
⚠ General Product Safety
Your safety is important to us. Please follow these general guidelines when using our products.
• Perform a patch test before full use to check for skin sensitivity
• Discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs
• All products are for external use only unless otherwise stated
• Keep all products out of reach of children and pets
• Do not ingest or misuse products
• Follow all product usage instructions
Starlit Lotus Studio is not responsible for allergic reactions, sensitivities, or irritation that may occur from product use.
Starlit Lotus Studio is also not responsible for injury, damage, or loss resulting from misuse or failure to follow product instructions.
By purchasing and using our products, customers acknowledge they are responsible for proper and safe product use.
📦 Damaged Shipments
Once a package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, transit conditions are outside of our direct control.
If your package arrives damaged:
• Contact us within 4 business days
• Provide photos of the damaged product and packaging
• Include a photo of the shipping label
This documentation may be used to assist in a carrier investigation or claim if applicable.
💳 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Customers agree to contact Starlit Lotus Studio directly to resolve order issues before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
We reserve the right to submit order records, delivery confirmation, photographs, and policy acceptance as evidence in response to any payment dispute.
Refunds or replacements are issued solely in accordance with this policy.
